Angry Birds!

 Getting ready for Tig's birthday party next weekend.  We're planning to have some beanbag games-plus they will go home as party favors!
Best thing is-I didn't have to buy anything!  This was all from stash including the poly pellets!
Red decided that he wanted to make one too.

Finished! (finally!)

My first finish of 2013!  I hate to say how long I've been working on this one but I'm really pleased to have finished it.  I was hoping to finish this penny rug along with my Sparkle Plenty quilt for Christmas this year.  Of course, getting sick slowed me down but now they are both finished.  I'm happy about both!

One gift finished

Here is my gift for my Aunt Cindy.  I started this over Thanksgiving, stitching it at the lake on our camping trip.  It was just the perfect project to do, all by hand, chatting with The Poppas.   This pattern is from Cath's Pennies Designs, The Melt.  Candle from Bath & Body works-peppermint!










 I had to practise my stem stitch for the sticks-my first efforts were horrible.
And I ended up changing from floss to perle cotton for the snowflakes.  I love these little cardinals but I think my favorite things are the carrot noses!

nearly there

I'm nearly finished with this penny rug.  I need to applique on the double circles that are outlined in yellow and the star, embroider on details to all the faces, and then blanket stitch the backing.  So close!
