January One

 My sister helped my mom purge closets while she was here over Christmas.  Mom had three or four yards of this Star Wars fabric and gave it to me-and I saw a fractured star quilt on Fb.  So I figured out how to make the star and went to town.  I did not plan to start this quilt-I wanted to get busy with my sashing project-but here I am.  I used my Accuquilt dies for the HST and both the small and large squares.  I *really* wish I had a die for the Tri-Recs.  I've been having to use a ruler!

Star Wars Strippies!

 After I realized how much I was enjoying my Halloween Star Wars strippie, I decided I needed a Christmas one.  I was able to get a couple of yards to make these strippies.  They're currently untrimmed and I'm waiting on some minky for the backing.  My Halloween strippie backing is flannel and my boyos don't care for it.  But they love minky!  I might have to fight to get use of one of these!

Also, the red, yellow, and holly fabric are all from my stash!

A little sampler and a block

 

I made this little sampler for my nephew and his wife.  It's their wedding gift but it was a little late-like a year and a few days later.  Oh well, it's totally cute and I hope they love it.  I found the pattern on etsy. The pattern offers the charts three different ways: symbols, symbols and color, just color.  Well I used the color chart and it made it so much easier!  I will try to find more charts like that.

Miss September is for the Saturday Sampler at the LQS.  It was a pretty easy block.   Three more months to go!

Finished that coffee!

 

I am so happy that I finished these today!  I will need to make backs and decide if I'm going to send these to the quilter but I'm counting them done.

I made this Star Wars scarf out of some leftover blue fabric and white flannel from Hancocks'.  I really like the Millennium Falcon-it was my favorite from Star Wars growing up.  I'm going to add buttons and buttonholes to make it a convertible infinity scarf.
 I'd like to make a Darth Vader one for my girlfriend I'm hoping to see next month.  Will have to see if that happens!
